The Super Bowl of the yachting industry takes place annually over a five day period, occupying 90 acres of land in sunny Fort Lauderdale. This city’s intricate network of deep waterways and unique bridges allow for cohesive transportation of vessels and attendees while enjoying all that this international event has to offer. Fort Lauderdale justifies itself as the yachting capital of the world once again by drawing 100,000 guests and 1,000 exhibitors in 2019 from over 50 countries with over 1,300 yachts on display. Fort Lauderdale has a plethora of marinas and docks coming together every year to help host this prestigious event bigger and better than the year prior. The FLIBS is encompassed by 7 separate marinas that work together to display the world’s latest and greatest vessels. Attendees enter the show at the Bahia Mar Swimming Hall of Fame and from there are able to roam via water taxi to the different marinas and vendor booths. The most exclusive marina and exhibit, Superyacht Village, will only be accessible to attendees via water taxi from the pickup point at Bahia Mar Yachting Center. Superyacht Village at the FLIBS is the Victor’s Village of the Hunger Games. This marina provides 5-star food and beverage to consume while viewing the most exclusive superyachts on the 2021 market. Tickets will only be sold online at the official website. Tickets will be scanned on your smartphone for entry and exit. More information regarding one-day, two-day, prime time, and VIP tickets can be found on the official FLIBS website as well. 

All children are welcome at FLIBS with booths and exhibits geared to entertain and educate children about the maritime industry and wildlife protection. Children above the age of 5 will be required to have a children’s ticket in their name. Any person over the age of 14 will require an adult ticket for entry to the event. There are a wide variety of bundles or one-day exclusive packages and tickets to choose from to cater to the experience every attendee is looking for at this year’s FLIBS.

COVID-19 Travel and Attendance Updates for the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show

The extreme restriction and absence of many at the 2020 FLIBS is building up the anticipation for the 2021 FLIBS to be as breathtaking and memorable as ever before. Even though vendors and attendees are excited to experience this year’s event in its original fashion, the main sponsor of this years event, Informa Markets Allsecure, is devoted to ensuring the safety of all participating in this year’s event by following CDC guidelines and outlining the guidelines and expectations of all parties involved. The 2021 FLIBS recommends but does not require attendees to wear facial coverings while attending the event, in contrast to its 2020 guidelines.
